Wine & Pasta 3, “Dominic Nicksolo’s” Day Event”
With two previous events under their belts, the brothers of Baltimore were at it again. Good Fellas, LLC, brings you Wine & Pasta 3 “Dominic Nicksolo’s” Day Event.
On June 18th, Chuck Bryant, Dominic Capers, Dorian Owens, and Steve Love better known as The Good Fellas hosted the third edition of their signature event, “Wine & Pasta”. While the title may very well be familiar, the event was totally different from those preceding. This go around, the four insightful minds of The Good Fellas added a fifth member to the starting line up, the creativity and feminine touch of Ebony Kennedy of Kennedy Consulting & Events. Together, The Good Fellas & Kennedy Consulting & Events set out to bring heat to an already humid Saturday afternoon with an amazing day party.
With Baltimore already a buzz from several other events around the city, (definitely evident from the traffic) The Good Fellas and Kennedy Consulting & Events took on their biggest undertaking to date, converting the already amazing Maryland Historical Society into the Wine & Pasta vision for the afternoon. Apparent by the hustle and bustle of people organizing and sound being checked, with barely a fraction of time to spare, the proverbial stage was set for an amazing afternoon. The pre-launch of Wine & Pasta 3 appeared ready and waiting to accept its attendees with hundred of bottles of wine being chilled, burners lit on the numerous tables of pasta, and speakers wired throughout the entire first floor and court yards of the spacious open floor plan of the venue.
Enter the people. – As you would have it, the Baltimore crowd trickled in in its typical fashionably late manner. If first impressions were always accurate, we would have bet that this event would have been a huge mistake. As we would have it, first impressions sometime leave you with a false sense of reality. No sooner than it appeared that the event may be a little flat, the people began to arrive. By evenings end the event was packed with fashion conscious men and women enjoying every inch of the beautifully converted Maryland Historical Society and all of the wine, pasta and live music they could handle. As for the “wine & pasta” we would be remiss if we didn’t comment. As we made our way around this huge venue, we took note of all types of wine, (i.e. Merlot, Cabernet, Chardonnay, Riesling, Moscato, Sangria, etc.) and the huge variety of pasta available. There was surely plenty to choose from. For those that
Maria & T'shana - Our favorite bartening duo. may have desired a cocktail other than wine, Good Fellas and Kennedy Consulting & Events also provided a cash bar with a choice of cognacs, flavored vodkas and mixers. +1 for the event.
Something new. - Different this time was the addition of vendors. And we can think of one word describing vendor participation in this event, ingenious. The addition of vendors to an already well established event elevated Wine and Pasta to the next level of promotion. The vendors were amazing and very much professional with everything from their table setup, to the descriptions of their product, service, or organization. While each vendor surely self promoted their business and/or organization, they as a group served to give The Good Fellas a great look. +1 for the event.
(***Side Note - TTR would like to ask everyone to take a moment and visit www.purplekisses.org. Please understand what this organization stands for and the reason for its existence. They have a extraordinary purpose and would benefit greatly from your patronage.***)
The Entertainment – Upon our last visit with The Good Fellas, (Wine & Pasta 2) the only true fault we
found in their event was in the entertainment department. However, this go around, let’s just say they along with Kennedy Consulting & Events made sure they left no rock unturned, hence neglecting us the opportunity to find any missteps. Enter two live bands Kissi B & That Dude Named Jimmy based out of Baltimore, MD and Secret Society, based out of Washington, DC. First up, Kissi B. – While the name kind of caught us off guard because there was only one person singing (maybe Jimmy was in the band), Kissi B surely held her own. She belted out song after song, some originals and some more familiar tunes over great music played by the band. While we had never heard of Kissi B & That Dude Named Jimmy before, we loved her style and will be looking to catch up with them on the Baltimore circuit whenever we can. Be certain to check them out whenever possible. After a brief intermission and a little fine tuning while DJ Don Juan spinned a few CD’s, Secret Society took to the stage. While
listening to Secret Society play the phrase “well oiled machine came to mind”. The talent in this band is peerless. While inside capturing video, we actually thought the djay was playing cd’s when in actuality the band was performing live. The Secret Society killed it. Our conclusion about the entertainment, The Good Fellas and Kennedy Consulting & Events knocked it out of the park. +1 for the event.
Overall if we were to compare this event to the last, without a doubt we’d say that Wine & Pasta 3 ran circles around their second event. However, because this event was on a much larger scale, it wouldn’t be a fair comparison. So with this event standing on its own merit, Wine & Pasta 3 was still a huge success. We found absolutely no faults in the event itself. (Oh wait there is just one thing). Gentlemen, you all really need to get with it. The event was jammed packed with ladies for the first several hours. We even heard a few ladies ask were all the men were. So while this surely isn’t a fault of The Good Fellas or Kennedy Consulting & Events, (they surely can’t control who comes to their events), I’d undeniably say that the men of Baltimore really dropped the ball. I’m convinced that after hearing about Wine & Pasta 3 and seeing the images from the event, you definitely won’t miss the next one. (We had to find something to touch on.)
One a TTR scale of 1-5, Wine & Pasta 3 “Dominic Nicksolo’s” Day Event gets a 4.5 for the amazing venue, outstanding food and beverages, professional vendors, and excellent entertainment. Make sure that you listen up for any new events that this powerhouse team puts together. And don’t forget to check out additional photos in the gallery.

This was my first Wine & Pasta Event and my girls and I had a BLAST!! Nice atmosphere, entertainment and crowd. Albeit, there could have been more MEN in the venue; the ladies of Baltimore held it down. There were no incidents and everyone REALLY had a nice time!! GREAT JOB FELLAS and we will definitely see you at your next event!!
